Blue Reverie

Blue Reverie is a dramatic, oversized hand-painted statement piece built around color, movement, and bold graphic lines.

A stylized female figure emerges through sweeping curves of cobalt blue, turquoise, sage green, violet, yellow and black, set against contrasting fields of deep purple and vivid red. Strong black contours divide the colors and give the piece its distinctive graphic character, while the long flowing lines create movement throughout the composition.

At 40 inches tall and 30 inches wide, Blue Reverie has substantial presence and was created to become a focal point in a room rather than simply fill wall space.

The painting was drawn and painted entirely by hand on a substantial 1¾-inch-deep canvas. The artwork doesn't stop at the front surface: portions of the composition continue over the top and bottom edges, while the sides are finished in deep purple and red. This painted edge treatment gives the piece a complete gallery-style appearance and allows it to be displayed beautifully without a frame.

After the painting was completed, the entire piece was hand-sealed with multiple coats of glossy Mod Podge, creating a protective finish and subtle reflective sheen that enhances the depth and richness of the colors.
